Sandy
It was a sunny day, where the beach was crowded and I was nearly all squashed. I had to squish and squash to have a swim where it is cooler and not too crowded. Then, suddenly everybody stared at the sky. Up in the sky there was a towel –like- thing gliding. It was gigantic. I was scared that it would drown, so I gave it a warning and shouted “Watch out!” But it ignored me, so I thought that probably it could swim. It glided lower and lower towards the ocean, when its towel body got wet in a wave, and the strange creature began to sink. It could have drowned but it was lucky because I saved it from drowning.
When I saw it up close, it did look pretty scary. I think the sharp, orange crab nippers were the scariest as they were waving around in the air, making snapping noises like it wanted to nip me. Her legs looked like ocean waves, blue and wavy; her red face on her sand-castle head looked a bit angry at all the people gathered on the beach. But it sounded friendly when it asked me if I wanted to play.
First, I was the only one playing with it, but then more and more people started to play with the friendly creature. Then, I wondered what its name was. So, I asked her and she said her name was
Sandy.
